Professional Services

In addition to scheduled appointments Tegan's practice is to charge this amount on a prorated basis (a break down of the hourly cost) for other professional services that you may require. These include, report writing, telephone conversations that last longer than 15 minutes, attendance at meetings or consultations which you have requested, or the time required to perform any other service which you may request.

Rebates

Medicare rebates that apply for those with a current and valid Mental Health Treatment Plan are eligible for a rebate of $145.25 for 50+ minute sessions.

Private Health insurance companies vary in their rebates so please contact your provider for details specific to your cover. 

Concession and Bulk Billed Sessions

Concession fees and discretionary Bulk Bill sessions are to be negotiated directly with Tegan. 

Cancellation Policy

Providing at least 24 hours' notice to cancel an appointment helps Tegan to keep your session costs down, maximises her availability to clients and minimises lost clinical time.

Full fee appointments rescheduled without 24 hours' notice will incur a fee of $140.00 (half session fee).

A fee of $280.00 (full session fee) will be charged for an appointment that is cancelled on the day of the appointment or that has been missed with no notice (non-attendance).

These fees will be deducted from the provided debit card. It is important to note that Third Party funders (Medicare and Private Health insurance) do not pay late cancellation or missed appointment fees. These are your responsibility even if your treatment is normally funded by a Third Party.

Sometimes you may be unable to keep an appointment because of sudden illness or an unexpected personal emergency. If this happens to you, please contact as soon as possible to explain the situation. You may email support@teganmallettpsychology.com.au

If you are late for an appointment your session may be less than 50 minutes in duration. Please note you will need to pay the full amount in these circumstances; however, any applicable rebate may be reduced.  

If you provide a contact number or email address a reminder message will be sent before your appointment. This is a courtesy reminder only, but Tegan may ask you to confirm attendance. If for any reason you did not receive a reminder message and missed your appointment, you will still need to pay the late missed appointment fee.
